Up and running but roughly - need help
Just got my 1.8 Zetec running, only on edis limp home at the moment, its seems to tick over hapily, and the revs will rise so far on opening the
throttle, but then it starts to spit flame back through the carbs - zzr1100, and doesn't get as far as trying to lift the throttle slides.
Is this a problem with the fixed timing on the edis? or should I be looking elsewhere?
Cheers.
Pete.

do you have a timing light to check that its running at 10deg BTDC ( I think thats edis limp mode ) If thats correct then edis is fine.

Thanks chaps, yes I checked the advance, it looks in the region of 10 degrees. It just dawned on me I probably need to back the mixture screws out a
bit, not altered them from the bike settings.
