Engine age proof
For the SVA test I have not got written evidence of the engine's date of manufacture or the original bikes V5. Therefore, where can I get
written proof of engine age, is the Haynes Manual engine number list suffcient? However, this does not give the exact date and as my engine is a 1995
one how can I find out whether it's number is pre cut off emissions test date? Cheers Barry

Honda UK should be able to help, but they aint quick repliying and it will cost approx £30. I;d phone them monday as the cut off for applying is
getting closer and closer!

I paid the money and got the letter from Honda. However, at both tests the inspectors were happy with the Haynes manual and didn't bother
looking at the Honda letter (even if I offered it both times). If you did fail it'd be very easy to correct (ie £30 to Honda and bingo).

Go to ypur local honda dealer with the engine number, they can put it into their system and find the bikes details which will have the year on it. Get
them to print it off and sign it and that will do.
I did this with Yamaha dealer and was accepted with DVLA.
