locost type 9 csc??

Rather than fork out a big pile of cash on a burton supplied one, is there a locost version? Just an idea at the moment.
I could get an adapter machined up if needed, but really the simpler the better (as the wife says)
Cheers
Clive

If by `csc` you mean concentric slave cylinder - I used a Vauxhall Corsa one off ebeay (£22 brand new) , and a bit of ally plate for the mounting

mine was a mondeo one, with a ali spacer from burton, and a steel plate behind it all to hold it together. spacer and plate bolted to bellhousing the usual way, and the cylinder bolted to the steel plate with captive nuts

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

This is ours, a vectra slave we had knocking around. The funny self-bleed method seems similar to the corsa one above, seems to work well enough though.

As you can see from these posts pretty much any cylinder will do the job. Generally speaking a saab 9000 one is used for after market kits I think as it is a pretty universal shape, compact and easy to mount. Obviously it still needs a boss machined for it though.
