And more AFR questions...

Just wired up my G3 with LC1, working OK (i think) now its in the exhaust.

Idle hunts and drops out slightly, pops and bangs a little and I have 16 on my afr gauge... gauge swings about a fair bit as well.

Which way do I go with the mixture screws to get this figure down to 13~14??

My steep learning curve is just beginning...

Steve

If ZX9 carbs are the same as ZX6 the screws [underneath the carbs] control fuel, not air. So they go in to lean off the mixture and out to richen.

2.5 turns out was a good starting point on mine.

do you have an AFR gauge on the dash? or r u looking at a laptop to get your figures, i would get the car idling and then watch the gauge or screen as you adjust each screw.

G3 afr gauge on the dash. LC1 will not talk to my laptop atm, no idea why (drivers?).

Currently screws are 3 turns out as set by BB for my old 1.8.

St engine now has new huge AAS exhaust on it.

Just getting to grips with it and thought I would ask here before I attack with the screwdriver.
