setting mixture screw on a webber DGV

im trying to set the mixture screw on my dgv fitted to a stage 2 tuned 1600 xflow. whether i screw it right in or out it seems to make little difference to the revs until the last turn. anyone know roughly how many rotations it should be from fully screwed in?
any help would be great

tom

Could be completely wrong with this but if you want to adjust the revs shouldn't you be using the idle screw at the rear of the carb as the primary method instead of the mixture screw?

Get the car on a gas analyser or better still a rolling road

i dont want to adjust the revs but i was led to believe that the mixture screw is right when the revs arent reduced by the screw and the engine is not lumpy.
any idea how many turns out is should roughly be?
