oil filler

Hi I'm running a pinto which came with the car. Whoever did the job has put the oil filler on the back of the rocker box, nufortnately they have positioned it very low, as a consequence on accelleration some oil is grtting past the filler cap when the oil builds up at the back of the cover any thing I can use instead of the cap that will be liquid tight but let the gasses free or can i seal of the oil filler. Ihave no back pressure no oil seapage when running the engine in the gararge only happens when pushing it a little oh I just filled a new spray bar cheers keith

I had a similiar problem on a crossflow and overcame it by fitting a baffle at the bottom of the filler neck. You just need a bit of plate tacked under the filler in a position to clear the cam but stop direct splash from going up the filler, just leave a gap at the back of it to allow filling with oil.
