BIG BIKE CARBS

I am in a bit a flap at the moment.
I plan to put my Locost on the road with a pretty standard 1300 xflow in, initially.
After all the teething problems are over I should have finished the 1600 xflow that is sat on an engine stand in the lockup.
It's a peach, granny owned (she knew the manual choke was not for hanging her handbag on!) 35k miles. It looks like new internally (so far). I think it deserves a bit of a tweak and I pretty much know what I want done on the entry and exit side of petrol consumption, but has anyone tried / failed to run 4 separate Big Bike carbs ?
Can't be that hard can it ?
My pal's GPZ1000 has 4 Big Un's and they are fairly easy to balance.
What if anything have people used in the past, or is this a flight of fantasy ?
I know the usual route is twin 40's and big K and N's but I wanted something a bit different.

Every bu66er is at it. Building a manifold right now to allow two sets on a 3.5 Rover V8 from a Gixxer 750.

You're gonna want to do some mild porting, and fit a cam if you want to see any real returns though.

Oh, and big slurpy noises are a bonus
