hello, just browsing ebay ads for sierras, what does HPI clear mean?? thanks gareth

It means a search has been done to find out the vehicles history ie, has it been recorded as stolen or written off in an accident or if there is any
outstanding finance secured on the vehicle etc etc.

If any damage is sustained by a car of less than an assessed value of £2000, it is not recorded anyway. Only outstanding HP would be on the record.
Probably would not apply to a donor car - probably
