quick oil question

Just changing the oil in my old 500 and not quite enough oil to top it up to the mark with 20w/50 is there any great problem with me topping up with 15w/40 ? both are fully mineral oil.

Cheers

not perfect but I have done it often enough. Bear in mind that as long as you have a branded 20/50 with a specifucation (many do not) it is still miles better than what was available when the car was new, and the 15/40 is much higher spec again. They will mix no problem........
