Tiger Radiator Plumbing
I've looked through all the old posts and can't find anyone who's using this rad and how to connect it up. Had a Pinto before so
really want to re-use the rad + expansion bottle thingy (save £££'s) The therm housing goes to top rad and pump to bottom of rad.... not sure
on the rest.
I have a heater too
Thanks
Dan

Dan,
not sure of your existing set up but I have just swappedmy Tiger rad for a polo version. There are some pics in my archieve but essentially I just
re-connected the top and bottom hoses to the rad but had to T in the bottom feed from the expansion tank into the bottom hose. I used a copper T piece
but you can buy them from CBS etc.
Oh, yes my rad is upside down but it fits better like that!

So the feed from the expansion bottle can still go into the bottom of the tiger rad (small pipe)? Do the two small pipes at the therm end go straight
into the heater?

Dan,
The Tiger rad has the top and bottom hose connectors and a smaller 16mm? outlet in the middle of the bottom that connects to the bottom of the exp
tank...correct?
I just ran the hose from the bottom of the exp tank to a T piece in the big bottom hose but as close to the rad as possible. The smaller hose from the
exp tank is T'd into the larger top hose. you shouldn't need to change the heater pipes.

I don`t have a heater fitted in mine but I`m sure this diagram works fine. So the 2 small pipes on the therm end, one connects to one heater outlet
and the other heater outlet runs down to join with the bottom connector on the Tiger as the diagram shows. Have you bought the 2 ali pipes from Tiger?
They are shaped exactly as they are in the diagram making life easier for you.

When I bought mine a couple of years back the pair were approx £42 inc Vat which ain`t cheap! You may find someone on here could fabricate some up for
you. I used a guy (welderman?) to make me up an extra ali T piece for my set up. Top price, Top Bloke!
