Rover V8 crank pulley bolt size

I can't get at my crank pulley bolt well enough to accurately measure it, all I do know is that it is greater than 22mm and less than 1 inch as neither of my two largest sockets fit it Does anyone know what it is before I start contemplating taking my radiator out and bonnet off?
