Another Weber DGV carb question!!!

A simple one this time...

When I took my carb off last night I found that I had an assortment of gaskets between it and the manifold - from the top:

1 thin black rubbery one
1 brown fibrous one
1 1cm thick rubber one
1 brown fibrous one
1 1cm thick rubber one
1 brown fibrous one

This seems excessive!

Assuming that the thick rubber ones are for heat & vibration isolation, shouldn't I just have:

1 brown fibrous one
1 1cm thick rubber one
1 brown fibrous one

The Haynes book of lies doesn't give any clues (it expects you to put back or replace whatever you just took off, I guess).

rgds,

David

I agree with you, a bit excessive.
As it happens, I need a "thick rubbery one" for my DGAS, but it needs to have 2
separate choke holes (about 41mm dia),
and not one big oval hole. If you have a spare which fits my description, I'll send some beer tokens if you like.

Cheers,

Terry
