Where can I get these wheels?

I like the look of these 8 spoke lightweight alloys used on Caterhams, any ideas where I can get a set the same/similar?

I have a feeling Caterham have theirs made specifically for them but surely there must be something of the same design available on the market?

Yeah I have been looking at Superleggeras but I prefer the look of evenly spread spokes on the caterham wheel.

At the moment I'm thinking of getting Superturismos, but that could well change...

You can find the caterham wheels in the Caterham section of the 2004 Demon Tweeks catalogue.

They are the R300 wheels, £108 each and 6.5"x 15". However i'm not sure what the stud pattern is? Any ideas, is it Ford? They'd look great on a locost!

The big difference between the caterham design ans other is the strength and weight.

They do a 15" x 6.5" 10 spoke which was for the R300 and a 13" x 6"front and 8" rear 8 spoke which was for the SV-R and the R500 evolution

The 15" weights a little over 5kg which is actually lighter than a 13" superlite!!

The 13.6 weights 4.78kg, same as an rs4 spoke but stronger and prettier, the wider verion weights 5.44kg.

prices are between £90 and £130 each.

Ive seen caterham wheels on a westfield before but i dont know what the hub pattern actually is, worth finding out i think.

The stud pattern is the same for the de dion but not the Ital axled cars. The Rs (R300 etc.) are all de dion.

I demand a recount.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

And 15x7 Superleggeras only weigh 4.9kg making them even cooler! Pop up on ebay every now and again too.

Yeah I noticed that after about 2 days of telling my mates how cool these 8 spoke alloys look! lol

I think where I got confused is that Caterham do two different types of wheel that are very similar, the ones I'd originally seen were the 8 spoke ones but I accidentally got the wrong pic off their website, doh!

Pete

These are the ones I really meant:

Easy mistake.

I like the one on the right better than the one on the left .

The caterham rims are 100g heavier but also £10 cheaper each. I would go for the caterham ones. If you want to find out if you can buy then not from caterham then they are made by KN, as are all caterham wheels.
