Costs to jet 40s for 1.8 Zetec

I want to fit twin Weber DCOE 40s to a 1.8 Zetec and have come by a second hand pair that were fitted to a 1700 Crossflow.

Does anyone know what needs to be changed to make them suitable for use on the Zetec and how much this will cost.

Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid you won't like the answer. There is no stock answer to this. Your exhaust manifold and system will have an influence as will the size and fit of your inlet manifold, the condition of your engine, your choke sizes, your air filter etc etc...

The only way to get it spot on is on the rollers I'm afraid. The existing jets and chokes will suffice to get you there.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I expected to have to and plan to have it set up on the rollers.

Any idea of the costs involved so I can factor it into my budget?

tune

i was quoted £100 by a company in nottingham
also i have a jetting program that should give a starting point for jets and chokes etc its by dave andrews
if you want a copy email me and i will send it back to you
please remember its never going to be spot on first time so the rolling road is the only way to sort it out
cheers dave
