gear box
this has probably been coverd befor. it is the type 9 gearbox problem i need to know what to look out for.
1) dose the type 9 gear box fit on the xflow block if not what do i need
2) will the sierra clutch fit on the fly weel if not what do i need
3) do the splines fit my escort drive shaft
4) will i need to exstend the leaver?
any advice on gearboxes will be welcom

Will start us off,
1, A 1.6 pinto gearbox will bolt straight onto the X-flow block.
2, You need the cover plate from your X-flow and 1.6 pinto friction plate, you also need to be careful which type of release bearing you have as
it's matched to the cover plate, if you have a straight fingered cover plate you'll need a bowled realese bearing and a curly fingered
diaphram needs a flat release bearing.
3, The spline size you need is 1" * 23 spline.
4, You shouldn't need to extend the gearlever, but some people have.

use the clutch for an early(smaller dia)seirra 1600,as for the prop,transit/sherpa/escort auto plus some others will fit
