WTF? Gaskets?
Just rebuilding my 2.0i Pinto cylinder head. In the new head gasket set there's a bunch of bits I don't recognise. Anyone got any ideas what
they're for?
1. 1x Rubber ring. 38mm ID. 47mm OD. 4mm Thick.
'Square sides'
2. 2x Hard plastic/rubber rings. 6mm ID. 14.5mm OD. 3mm thick. 'Sloping sides'
3. 4x Copper washers. 12.5mm ID. 15mm OD. 1mm Thick.
4. 4x Copper Washers. 14mm ID. 20mm OD. 3mm thick.
5. 8x Rubber rings. 7mm ID. 14.5mm OD. 3.5mm thick. Rounded walls.
I've already fitted the Stem Seals and the Cam shaft gasket. So they aren't any of them.
I'll try and put a picture up (if I get a camera with a PC connection soon) but any ideas before then would be welcome!

some times the sets come with we plastic bags filled with stuff so that they can be used in different sets cos its cheaper to prouduce one bag full of
wee bits than individual bags for 20 diferent ghead sets
or they can be for different carbs or injection spec engines
