Which Exhaust?

OK, after a recent thread about my exhaust which is no way going to pass the IVA, I've decided I need to replace it.

I am running an old-school 2.0 Pinto (2.0 block not the 205 block) and at the moment have a 4-2 standard cast manifold with a 2 parallel pipe into single box exhaust. I have been searching around and found these:

eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

and

Sportex Capri 4 branch exhaust manifold 2.0 OHC Pinto | eBay

Not sure if the second one is suitable and also don't fancy buying the kit version only to bodge it up .

My other option is to keep the manifold I have, cut the 2 pipes fairly near to the joint on the manifold and make a 'Y'-piece to take a single pipe/exhuast.

The other thing is where can I get a suitable exhuast can?

I really don't have a lot of spare cash to throw around so am looking for a cheap but do-able solution.

I would be really grateful for your thoughts guys & gals

It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

The standard cast manifold is quieter than a steel or stainless one so keep it. Y piece and a can of at least 6 preferably 7" diameter and as long as possible. MK, Martin Keenan, Wunoff, CBS can all supply.
