K-seal

I believe K-seal is about the best radiator sealing stuff you can get - but will it do any good on a suspected very small crack in a plastic radiator header tank?

Cheers

Problem with cracks is they tend to grow --- drain it enough to fix the crack with epoxy then after it has properly cured add K-seal.

To stop a crack from growing drill a small hole at each end of the crack to take away the sharp corner. If using epoxy for a long lasting repair out might need to grind out some material ( to form a "V" exactly as preparing a weld in thick material) to allow you put epoxy into the crack.

mmmmm I see what you mean.

Unfortunately I can't get to it without taking the rad out. So I might as well put a good one in instead if I do that.

it's in my daughters Ka - she has reshaped the front end of the car slightly which didn't seem to be a major problem a week ago but now she says she keeps seeing steam coming out of the bonnet which must have had more of an effect than I thought.
