Carb balancing connection point?
Hi .just got some carb tune pro balancing gear to balance my 919 fireblade carbs on my 8v vauxhal engine. Looking at the haynes manual for the
fkreblade it says I have to connect the tubes to the vacume takeoff which appears to be on the intake manifold. However I dont have a vacume takeoff
on my custom inlet manifold. how do people normally go about attaching their vacume tubes for carb balancing?
Thanks in advance.

You do need the take offs on the inlet side.
Drill some 4mm holes tap them m5 and get some inserts ( 6mm bar, threaded, drilled through) to connect the gauges to. Then when not in use 4 m5 cap
screws to blank the holes off.

Don't forget to put some copper washers under the m5 cap screws for a good airtight seal, an air leak would be self defeating.

Brill. Thanks alot. I assume it doesnt matter if they are connected to the upper side of the manifold compared to the lower side?

Far easier to buy the required manifold spuds from a LPG kit suppliers £1.20 each M6 thread.

No but they should be in the exact equivalent place on each manifold.
