FFS! leaky clutch

built up all the clutch with a new slave cylinder, hoses, master cylinder etc, and left it there. focussed on engine and fuel and stuff.
so engine's in and running quite nicely, needs work, but its quite good. carbs, exhaust, fuel etc, happy with it all

come to fill up the clutch today with an eezibleed, and fluid starts leaking out the bell housing

not entirely sure if the gearbox can come out without taking the engine out first...

i guess i've somehow not tightened up a hose properly... hopefully its one i can reach through the tiny hole in the side of the bell housing

IF fluid somehow got on the clutch plates, will it damage it? i'll have a proper look later on. i know there's two hoses in there, one from the master cylinder which goes in the side, and one bleed which goes in the top.

really hope its the one going in the side... i can get to that to tighten...

if i checked it BEFORE i fitted eveything else to the engine, it would have saved a whole lot of bother...

brakes seem to leak somewhere too... lol

That's tough luck. My sympathathies are with on f!?&/*g hydraulics - the entire contents of the brake reservoir is on he floor and the f!?&*g motor factor has let me down on delivery in time to fix it this weekend

friend of mine had a similar problem with a hydraulic kit he fitted to a type nine unfortunately the spacer he fitted was for the pinto clutch and not a zetec resulting in too much travel for the cylinder therefore popping the seal on the slave cylinder
