st170 crank pressure

hi all, i have a duratec st170 engine in my race car but i seem the have massive amount of crank pressure, iv'e done away with the standard inlet as im running with jenveys. i am going to fit a catch tank but i have removed the pvc valve... any help would be brilliant. cheers dale.

You need to vent the crank case and the rocker cover, may need a small filter on the catch tank to equalise.
If you still have loads of crank case presure could mean rings.

I've retained the standard casing, but removed the valve itself. I run 2 lines one from the crankcase and the other from the head.

No problems during the trackdays I've done.

My ST170 breathes pretty heavy as well. Way more than the old black and silvertop zetecs I used to run. I think they all do. Good catch tank essential.
