BMW E30 M20 flywheel size?

I'm putting a BMW M52 into my Haynes Roadster. I've been setting the engine position and the flywheel runs pretty damn close to the bottom tunnel rail. I'm planning to swap the flywheel for an E30 M20 item to get rid of the silly dual mass one. I know you need to use the E30 starter too and have just realised (DOH!!) that the flywheel must be either slightly smaller/bigger or have a different ring-gear teeth or position. Anyone know what the differences are? I need to get hold of one really but they seem to go for silly money on ebay
