Ford Dohc 8v manifold chat revisited.

Hi all.

I have been pointed in your direction from a previous chat looks like a few years ago.

I am clinically mad, I purchased a ford sierra estate with the dohc 2 ltr, 8v engine. mated with an MT75 gearbox. This is going into my westfield kit. (Sorry for using the w word).
I have the carbs ready, all I need is a manifold for them to bolt onto. Does anyone know where I can go where they may make one, alternativley, the guys who have used this engine, can you offer any advice?

Many thanks in advance.

Tim.

It would probably be cheaper for you to buy a Zetec 1.8 engine and manifold than to find a dcoe manifold for the twink, they were never popular with tuners, not made for very long and suffered head cracking problems.

Zetec is readily available, lots of parts about, more powerful, revier, lighter.....

I too planed on using a twincam but was swayed by the wisdom on here, I bought a 1.8 zetec, re-drilled the flywheel to take the twincam clutch, and bolted it to the mt75, worked out fine, with no need for extended thrust bearings etc....
