Bike Cans on CEC

Do these work or are they not man enough to keep a proper car quiet?

I need something cheap to keep my neighbours happy while I get my motor up and running and thinking of a cheap bike can then swapping over to a proper solution at a later date. But wondered if they could work long time.

R1 can, gases go into a front chamber, this is then piped towards the back via a couple of tubes, maybe the diameter of a 10p coin to the rear chamber, you then get a couple more little tubes taking the gases to a middle chamber at which point the gases turn back and head through a bigger pipe and out the back.

It will make your car quiet, the second you have a ticket on it open the can, gut all the horrible little pipes and baffles and stick in some perforated tube and wadding, now you have a real can

I have a stock GSXR 1000 on my 1300cc Xflow and love it. Although it is maybe a little too quiet it does make long road trips nice. I don't like to wear earplugs because I want to hear any problems with the engine or suspension. Russ

I have a GsXR 1100 on my 2.0i Pinto, it is quiet on tickover and medium trottle, but sounds like someone being sick at 110dB on full throttle - a very strange noise. I also reckon I am 20bhp down on my old (Passat 19 tdi) silencer

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation
