Rover v8 tuning parts - what are they worth?

Hi guys,

I have inherited a project from my father.. I have some idea of taking it another direction.

I am planning on fitting a BMW v8 and selling all the brand new rover v8 tuning parts that I have here in the garage..

I have all new, in the boxes. Stored in the dry from JE Engineering -

JWR offenhauser dual port inlet manifold.

Full set of valve springs.

Full set of bearings

Full set of 4l high compression pistons and rings and liners.

Edelbrock 500cfm carburettor

14" low rider chrome air filter.

Full gasket kit

Piper bp270 cam and bearings

Has anybody any idea what those parts are worth?

Not selling just yet incase the bm v8 doesn't fit! But trying to get a gauge of what it's all worthnor if it is even saleable!

Thanks,

Iain

What capacity RV8 - there will be a difference between 3.5/3.9/4.2 & 4.0/4.6.

Ebay gives you a reasonable idea of worth.

I may be interested in the gasket set

I paid just over £120 for my Cam, although not a Piper, it still goes like stink!
Its a Viper Hurricane cam.

Bearings not a huge amount, £10-15 I would think, but not sure.

Check on sites like Real Steel and www.v8tuner.co.uk
Will give you a good idea.

Pistons I paid £165 for 9.25:1 comp American made for a 3.5L RV8.

Hope this helps.

4.0 HC pistons are at a premium cos people with the later blocks who use a 4.6 crank with those pistons to make a good high CR engine.

Piper 285 cam is around £180 ish
