propshaft fitting

Hi All
just put the propshaft in position and going to fit the bolts
BUT THE PROBLEM IS the big rubber donut is a little wider than the propshaft end. THE OTHER END with the hardy on is fine .How to i squeeze in the rubber donut to get the bolts in, maybe i should have fitted the shaft to the donut and then pu it in followed by the gearbox followed by the engine. BUT I DIDNT silly me

You have to squeeze the donut to get the bolts in. Not done one in a while but thats how I remember it in most cases. Can be a pain and which to fit to first is a toss-up.

Use a big jubilee clip (or several smaller ones joined together).
