between 220hp and up to a max of about 280hp i know im going to fit a quafie gear set the car will weigh in at about 650kg and wont be used on the
road i have a budget of about £1200
has anyone used firstmotion transmsions or road and race transmisions in seven oaks any opinions or recomendations would be apreciated

The dog engagment gearset is the way to go, also lightweight casing. If you searched you could pick up a 26g quaife seq box as they are now
surpassed by 60g and have dropped in value. I sold a Quaife alloy dogbox last year for £2200 .

Another vote for Road and Race Transmissions, very helpful guys. HTH Ray
To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy

Have a look at tran x I'm running a 4speed dogbox type E same as the type 9 just 4 speed, I think there gear kits are around 700. My 2.3 duratec
is turning out
277 Bhp and 220 ft lb torque. Give me a call if you need any specs ie ratios speeds tyre sizes etc.
