A series 1275 midget engine

Whilst waiting for my recon head to come back thought I would prepare the block surface.Have noticed between 2/3 cylinders a small amount of minor pitting and a slight dip across all four cylinders of 2 thou at this point.Should I get the block surfaced. Also should I get the head planed 25 thou to increase CR and is it worth it.

It will blow again if you don't, this was the Achilles heal of the 1275 it is caused by a brass pug between the 2 & 3 combustion chamber slowly sinking into the cylinder head. Personally I would look for another engine.

Metro heads were less prone to the problem.
