Bike carb problems,having a wee
I swapped my zx6r carbs as my original ones a air/fuel screw was seized after installing the new set one of them is peeing fuel out when the engine is
running (seems to stop when the choke is out) I had slight leaks before from the same place but not this bad before,this stopped by its self and put
it down to them being stored for a long time,I have taken the float bowl off and made sure the float is moving,any ideas?

Float stuck or sunk?
Assuming you have kept the fuel pressure the same as before?

not seen that before but
if you suspected floats, check the levels.
you can do it with one hose but for comparability;
4 hoses 12" long.
Tape one end of each to a straight edge equally spaced apart (same distance as each float drain)
push other 4 ends on drains
hold straight edge up high
undo allen key
slowly lower straight edge a few inches
the fuel will rise in the hose
tap any bubbles to surface
compare levels to each other and to the level marking on the carb body
dont move the straight edge up and down it'll scew reading

All same as before & only out of one carb,all seem to be moving ok but I can take parts out of the old ones & see if it makes any difference.

what colour are plugs on that cyl compared to others?

Sounds fine to me but I'm no expert,plug is quite sooty compaired to others but not wet.

if that plugs distinctly sootier than others I assume its too much fuel.
float could have a hole in it?
Worth changing it to see if helps.
That orangew is mint by the way

Choke
Probably stopped when the choke is because the fuel is being diverted into the motor in larger quantities.
If you are using a bike fuel pump pressure should be ok ,but if using a Facet pump and regulator it can't take more than about 1psi.

very valid, I had same prob with mine once, would that effect on one carb though?

No
No it wouldn't , just making the point as he has just changed setup.
My money would be on dirty float needle or stuck float.
I've had that before on start up and a gentle tap on the float chamber sorted it.

I'm using the bike fuel pump & all as was with identical carbs fitted & working fine,I suspect as said above a problem with the float
system so will replace Tom and see what happens.
