Need to ID a Bosch distributor
Ford x-flow 1300, in a Locost race car.
I'll post a picture tonight, but having identified an oil leak from the dizzy, I've taken it out to discover it doesn't use the
o-ring I bought for it! The dizzy is marked as 'Bosch' and 'Germany' in the case casting, but the o-ring is a weird looking
thing, about 3 mm thick, with a flat interior and rounded exterior (maybe the years have made it this way!). The groove it sits in is
'massive' by comparison to the skinny o-ring I bought as a replacement, the groove is probably 2.5mm deep and 3mm wide.
Can anyone suggest what type of dizzy this might be and where I might get the replacement o-ring?

Measure the groove diameter, width, and the bore it fits into and I may be able to sort something for you.
Phoned the local ramblers club today, but the bloke who answered just
went on and on.

Hi
The chances are that it is the distributor from the Fiesta with the IGN module bolted to the side of it. Assuming so these should be available from
Ford or car spares shop who has some old stock. As said though just replace with a correct sized general Oring. Originally it was just a plain Oring
with no flat face.
Or try asking in the racing section as many run that distributor so someone may even have a few spare.
Cheers Matt
