any ford experts?
i have a 10 plate connect TD,36,000 miles, every so often the engine makes a loud "clack" noise and the revs drop, sometimes the engine will
just cut out but re-start straight away, other times the engine slows down as if it is going to stall, pumping the throttle makes no difference ,like it
is running out of fuel.
any ideas as our "mechanic" will just say i have to live with it despite it being under a 100,000 mile warranty

sounds like a little data logging is required.

"mechanic" will just say i have to live with it despite it being under a 100,000 mile warranty. This is not acceptable as cutting out is
considered dangerous. if your Ford dealer cant fix ( you really need a service sheet with details ) complain to ford customer services. I a member of
AA / RAC involve them as backup.
