Turbo build blogs?
I am interested in reading up on home brew turbo installs.
I know some have done it here and some more are in the game, I'm next.
Can anyone point me, either bike engine or car, just interested in the engineering involved, turbo choice, packaging intercoolers etc
Ta,

Bike Turbo
There is a BEC section on there.
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

I've done a diy megasquirted Zetec Turbo conversion. Search through my previous posts and there's a fair amount of stuff there to look
through. U2U me if you have any questions - I'll try to help.

Cheers Ben, I'll be needing more power to keep up with you and Andy..
Know anything about ST170 engines? Wondering about con rod length V a normal blacktop and how to peg the inlet cam.. or remove the vvt all together.

You'll keep up with me no problem now, my engine span a big end shell a few weeks ago and is currently off the road being rebuilt!
How's Andy getting on with his zetec?

See this thread for a high quality build and info on removing VVT on the ST170 engine.

Not sure on the rod length, but ask on passionford and you'll get your answer.

Ooo thats bad news Ben, saw a nice Nissan Sunny this week that had done the mains due to the oil filter falling off and spinning up the bearing...
straight after an engine rebuild...
Andy's is coming on, not sure where he's at just now.
Nice thread there, looks like I'm track for about 350bhp with the parts I'm working on.
Saw your post about the OBX manifold and I've found one canny cheap but its on the west coast.. I've asked but not hopeful the postage is
gong to be cheap, then theres the duty when t lands here....

Steve, do what a lot of people do, buy a Nissan 200SX turbo exhaust manifold from ebay for around 100 quid, buy a zetec flange, cut the flange off the
nissan manifold and weld the zetec one on, et voila, bargain tubular exhaust manifold.

Escort RS Turbo cast manifold and an adaptor plate, could make your own adaptor plate, so would cost you about 20-30 quid.
