R1 engine great when cold, lumpy when hot

Managed to get a few blasts up and down my road testing for the issue I experienced in Nottingham, whilst cold I had smooth mental acceleration up to 65 MPH in 1st gear, up and down the road, no problem, fabulous, however once up to 70 degrees plus the engine once stalled a few times struggled to start, once started would only tick over lumpy with my foot on the pedal, would not raise its revs above standard tickover, once I took my foot of the pedal it stalled.

Any ideas?

I am thinking Mixture maybe?

This is a 1999-2000 4XV / 5JJ engine.

Cheers

Nick
