Dipstick
The real one, not me. I've just put the PCV (with the guts missing) back on my Supercharged Zetec because the dipstick was being blown out of
the holder by the crank pressure.
I went for a test drive and it start again...which is odd. Got back in the garage and took the dipstick out and realised the top yellow plastic bit
is cracked by the O-Ring and has moved apart by 2mm or so. Both bits are still attached and I can't move the broken piece on the stick at
all.
So....question is, how do I fix the dipstick so that it stays sealed in the tube?

If your getting enough pressure to lift the dip stick then stoping it will result in the next weakest link blowing out. My guess a crank seal.
Ive seen a few dip sticks crack there by catching the eye. There are plenty of high reving engines with no breathing on the crank whats so ever. Are
you getting lots of breathing on the rocker aswell ?

I think it has more to do with the damage on the stick itself now. The PCV is open and vents into a catch tank. The dipstick doesn't sit down
correctly so it is proabable being dislodged by engine movement which then allows the oil out of the tube.
The oil level does also appear to be overfilled so that is probable the cause of the pressure.
