What do I need for an engine rebuild?
I'm finally getting around to rebuilding the MK after a long time off the road, but I want to make sure I do a decent job of it this time
(unlike when I rushed it to get it SVA'd before it became the IVA).
I want to rebuild the engine (2001 R1) but I'm unsure about what I'll need along the way. I don't want to end up with an engine haf
dismantled for ages like the car is at the moment...
More specifically I'd like to take the gearbox apart, seeing as I often found false neutral quite a lot, but that might have more to do with a
sloppy gear linkage.
So what have people found useful for engine/gearbox rebuilds? Anything more than what the old Haynes manual recommends and a tub full of elbow
grease/patience?
Thanks
James

First of ALL.... You need some Money to pay for what ever route you go down.
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
