Advice RST engine to type 9
Hi guys,
I'm rebuilding a series 1 Dutton Phaeton. I have got a series 1 Escort RST engine I am fitting. I know a type 9 box will bolt straight up to the
block but what flywheel/clutch/release bearing will I need to use? starter motor?
Also I presume I am going to need to baffle the sump as it is designed to be in a fwd car?
Any advice appreciated. Cheers

Think I may have found the info. I've read somewhere that I will need a 1.8 cvh flywheel, clutch and release bearing

And also the starter motor from the 1.8 as they are different to the pinto ones
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

Theres plenty turn zetecs round and don't bother with baffles in the sump, although its not a bad idea if its not a major hurdle.
