Fuel Pump Age and Silicon Fuel Hose?
Hi All,
I've stripped the fuel tank and fuel pump out of the Minor to paint the aluminium panels in the boot.
While I was there I noticed that the Facet pump is 16 years old. I forgot I had had it that long! It still works fine but is there an 'age
limit' for these pumps, after which they will start to become unreliable?
I am also planning to change all the rubber hoses at the same time.
Is there such a thing as silicon fuel hose or should I just get some top quality Gates stuff?
Thanks for looking!

Fuel pumps work until they don't
No real way of telling, 16 years is a good time but I suspect not many hours
I only use BS rated fuel hose don't bother with silicone as its not fuel resistant unless fluro lined so why bother when standard stuff is
proven long term
I eat to survive
I drink to forget
I breath to pi55 my ex wife off (and now my ex partner)
