Valve Shims for Blacktop Zetec ?
Looks like I'm going to do the cam belt on my tin-top so while I'm at it I might aswell check the clearances
(its done 125k and its got more of a rattle than I'd like)
so where is the best place to get replacement shims ?
I asked the ford dealers already and they don't stock them (the boy didn't even know what they were )

Ford dealer, they can order them in, I did it a few months ago. They can call up a picture of the cylinder head assembly where each part is numbered
and linked to various options, I had to point the chap in the right direction.

I always rebuild the head and take it to a engine builder, to get them to do it for about £40. By the time you have run around getting the shims and
messing about it will cost you that. they can do it for that as they have loads of old shims.
