Bec engine prep?
Hi all, I am currently building a haynes roadster and last week picked upto engine, it's a 2004 cbr 1000rr.
Is there any preparation I need to do before fitting in the car I.e sump, baffle plate, clutch springs, air box etc
Anyone got a similar car? If so what's it like? Any hints tips etc?
Thanks in advance joe

Has the engine been stood for ages without oil?
If yes it may need the clutch plates soaking in oil over night.
Baffle is a yes.

Do you know of anyone that sells them? And I think it has been stood a while so when I fill with oil ill leave it 24hrs before I turn it over.

Contact Andy Bates at AB Performance. He'll have baffles and info on anything else you'll need... and he's a top bloke!
