Right hand as normal.
If you have one an impact gun works wonders,if not hit the bolt head as hard as poss.with a lump hammer using a heavy bar or punch, the shock should
break the seal or
loctite if present.
Obviuosly if manually undoing the bolt get someone else to hold against you usually on the flywheel teeth with a lever bar or large screwdriver
blade.
Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs!
Hope this helps..

Oh yeah, dont put heat on the bolt if still stuck,it will knacker the crank damper rubber built into the pulley.
I'm going up to Seamer in the morning in fully kitted out Jcb engineers van ,if you're still struggling and anywhere near my journey from
M18 ,A19 orM62 even,I might be able to call and get it off for you!

Take the #1 plug out and turn the engine so the piston is towards the bottom of its stroke. Then stuff a long piece of rope down the hole using a
spade screwdriver to assist the shoving. Then put a big breaker bar on the end of your socket wrench and turn in the proper direction for removal
until the piston comes in contact with the mass of rope. It will stop the piston in its track and you will easily remove the bolt.

thanks for all the replies fella's. we managed it by using an impact gun and gentle heatbut it took us all afternoon. It tuned out whoever had
it off last had blathered it ,threads and all , with what looked like varnish or shellak. The impact gun struggled with it right to the end of the
thread. once agfain thanks to all who replied.
