Laughed my arse off.

Its got a standard carb, a pretty poor exhaust manifold, standard rocker gear.

If its got any more than the standard 83 bhp I would be amazed.

Its never seen Cosworth, its never seen Lotus and unless it was in a Morgan its never seen Morgan either.

Item should be removed for misrepresentation.

The guy seems to have a similar grip on reality as the one who states the following on his kit car auction...

"2ltr Black Zetec with Alpha throttle management, estimated 180 BHP (throttle bodies are programmable) Im told

a simple remap will see the power easily boosted past 230+bhp"

And no, it's not a turbo!

Ford - Yes.

Morgan - Slim chance. Dunno 'bout their xflow fittings.

Lotus - Maybe from a very early car? But not with that carb! Or that exhaust.

Cosworth - Gotta be kidding!

Work-in-Progress: Changed to Zetec + T9. Still trying!!

Sent seller a couple of questions.

Q Was the engine out of a Lotus, Cosworth or Morgan, you don't say. More info please.

A 1980 morgan sprint car

So it was out of a Morgan and not a Lotus (who only ever fitted the x-flow in Sevens) or a Cosworth who never made cars).

Then thought a bit more and asked the following.

Q Obviously when it was producing 150 bhp it had twin 40's or twin 45's fitted, are they included with the sale. With the carb shown in the photo it is impossible to get any more than 105 bhp (perhaps 110 on a really fit motor). Do you know what work has been carried out inside the motor, must be something special for a 150 bhp 1600.

A the 45 have been sold it has standard carbs now it has special camshafts, different crank and rods, it was a well known morgan sprint car before it was crashed and the owner was killed it has no front pulleys and needs also a water pump.

So it was allegedly making 150 bhp when it was on 45 which are not with the engine, no mention is made of this. It is missing parts, no mention is made of this.

But it has special camshafts, different crank and rods,, I bet it does.

This seller should be reported to E-Bay for misrepresentation.

They must be very very special camshafts as the crossflow usually only has one
Actually with stock rocker gear it doesn't matter what cam is in it as it wont rev high enough for 150 bhp without suffering valve bounce and the rockers moving about.
