Ford Sigma Engine!
Is this engine still being used in Fords today, I went into a Ford showroom and they are listed as Duratec - is that the same engine? I see Caterham
& Westfield supply them, hopefully they are still made by Ford and not some back yard company elsewhere!!
Would be good if they were still in production for parts etc as I hope to keep my motor for life...

I believe production ended when the Focus MK2 ended. New version of this engine is 1.5L and direct injection.
Never under estimate the ingenuity of an idiot!

Wiki says the Sigma engine was replaced by the Ecoboost engine in 2012, think this must be the smaller ones not the Duratec.
I wonder if Ford just make a few on demand every now and again or are these all old stock engines being used until they run out like the Rover K
Series.
