Modified Type 9

Hi,
Has anybody modified a 2.8 Type 9 to a standard Type 9?..

As in machined the first motion shaft?? I had a chap do mine. The shaft obviously needs to come out of the box first.....

However, I believe it is possible todo it with a grinder. Not as neat as a lathe of course

I've modified one using a spacer between the bellhousing and box from Caterham - works really well and it means that you don't have to cowboy the input shaft

I've got access to a lathe at work & got all the dimensions. Would be cheaper to the mod than the spacer job ...

Moves the engine and bell housing about 25mm forward but a basic, easy job
