No point spending good money on an old Pintosaurus IMO, might be something special but modern 16v engines are built to much better tolerances so I
would rather plough my money into using them as a base to start off with.
You take the head off a Duratec with 100,000 on it and the pistons, rings and bores are like new. You do the same with a Pinto on half this mileage
and you can wiggle the pistons around in the bores easily by hand.

For that money you could build and install a 240bhp duratec easily

I'd go with Claire on the KL V6 option. For roughly £1000, maybe a touch more, I'll be looking at a fully rebuilt engine on ITBs with a
full SS exhaust running a sequential MS3X that should have about 210-220bhp and an 8000 RPM red line. However, that's running standard cams and
compression both of which are tame. If I can find a way of upping the compression without forking out for forged pistons or wrecking the timing
there's much more to be had. Shame the only place that seems to re-grind the cams is in Canada.......
