Weber 40DCOE jetting for ford crossflow
I have a couple of Weber 40DCOE's which I'm considering fitting either to my current crossflow escort 1300GT engine or to a replacement
1600 crossflow. They are currently being cleaned & rebuilt and their set up is shown below. Does anyone know if this will be suitable for the
above engine(s) or will they need rejetting.
Chokes 32
Mains 130
Emulsion tubes F16
Air correctors 185
Pump jets 40
Idle jets 45F9
Float valve 175
Pump valve (non return) 50

You should be able to start and run with those jets etc..
below is whats quoted for 1300gt
but if it runs take it to a rolling road and they play with the jets to get it right.
chokes 30
mains 120
e tubes F16
air correctors 180
pump jets 35
idle jets 50F9
float valve 200(needle)
pump valve ? (not listed)
secondary venturi 4.5
pump inl/exh.screw C
hope this helps this is how i set mine up and it runs quote well (after setting the idle jets right)

ps dont forget about the bonnent change and the dizzy must be side entry

Baldrick.. You must have a larger fuel tank than us. What are you looking at in terms of effective range?

Seabass, At my age, effective range is governed more by my endurance than the car's (Toilet, Pub etc). I think my tank (luego, steel) is 6
gallons. Haven't really thought about increased fuel consumption with the 40's, should I? Anyway, as I wired my fuel gauge up wrong it
now fills up as I drive.
