Shortened sump? Oil pick up?

What height should a pick up pipe be from the bottom of the sump?

I was thinking of perhaps a 10 mm clearance between the two?

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

DC.

Thats what I set mine to, although some recommend 3mm.. I stuck a lump of blutak on the bottom of the sump and put it in place to check the clearance

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation
