Fuel Tanks
In the market for a fuel tank for the Locost at the moment and had a look at a few on-line, all somewhere around the same price.
Any recommendations for manufacturers/suppliers? It'll be for a Carbed car.
I've had an ally one split before in Tanzania in the Escort made by a very reputable company and don't want to make the same mistake
again.

Will the approval of those carry over to cars for IVA?
Or are you adding post IVA?

Interesting. Do they have any sort of baffles or would a swirl pot be required?

Theres no baffles in the tank and I used an injection pump sender unit from a Mk6 Fiesta.. spent ages adapting it into the deck plate. Then decided to
go with carbs so will be replacing the high pressure pump with one of a V8 Landrover.
One of these from a carbed V8, it pumps at 1.5psi and is interpreter the same as a bike pump effectively.. Just swap the pump bit into the housing and
should be OK.
Part number is PRC7020 and pay no more than £20...

I had a look at the plastic ones and came to the conclusion that it wasn't IVA'able after reading some threads on here. I've
struggled to find one that fits the 'ole too.
My car requires an IVA (hopefully this year!)
Shouldn't really need a swirl pot for a carbed car. I'm using DOCE's so would require 4psi ish was going to use a facet.
Any ideas on Ally ones? Unless someone has IVA'd with a plastic one?

Unless you want to 'attack' corners such as Gerrards

Again we don't run one on the Escort (stage rally car) and never have any issues even on slicks. One of the filter king units under the bonnet
holds enough not to starve the float chambers.
The tank i would use would be baffled so should be ok in the 7. Again we would run a filter king close to the carbs.
So any ideas on Ally tank manufacturers? Good experiences with OBP?
