Weber carb throttle assembly

I've got a 1600 crossflow which came with an inlet manifold to take a twin choke Weber. The manifold doesn't have the two bolt holes into which I would attach the throttle cable assembly. How do I attach the throttle cable to the carb?

I've seen the outer cable stop on the rocker cover on some Mk1 Escort installations, a better, more elegant solution would be a sandwich plate between the carb and manifold, with an appropriate extension for the cable stop,

How much would you want for one of the 711 manifolds. I assume it's the manifold with two bolt holes.
Many thanks
