Fireblade Oil Issue

Fireblade 954 engine:

On a bit of a run yesterday evening my friend following said he could smell oil from my car, so had a look today and the oil is at the bottom of the sight glass and some coolant appears to have been used as that is low too.

The car seems to run fine with no loss of power and no visible smoke/steam when driving now or previously (last night was partially in the dark though). It has always breathed a bit through the breather filter especially after a bit of a run. It appears to have used a fair amount of oil in the past 3/400 miles where I know that it was at the top of the sight glass previously. I've not refilled it to find out exactly how much yet.

Additionally when I got back yesterday I started it again when in the garage after it had been sat for half an hour or so and noticed it was spitting black out the exhaust, putting my hand near it suggests it is soot and water rather than oil. Not sure if this is related or just from where air has condensed in the exhaust as it was cooling down. Pretty sure that it has done that previously as there were a few other bits of black on the garage wall in other places.

I've checked for any oil leaks around the engine and can't see any.
On removal of the plugs, one plug at the end of the bank is entirely black whereas the other 3 only have slight black tips.

Any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.

Compression test?
Check head gasket?

Thanks

Oli

When you say the plug is black do you mean
Sooty or oily ?

Not sure. It's clearly not wet with oil, but perhaps is burnt on. I'll stick a picture up...

I think it's used about a litre of oil in ~500 miles, after refilling and working out where I have been with it.

Put the plugs back in and started it briefly earlier. Definitely spitting what looks like oil and water out the exhaust straight from cold and smells very oily.

The engine was out recently when doing some other work and the only thing I can think of is that when refilling the cooling system it has developed an air lock in the head and consequentially done a head gasket. Ay further ideas?

I remembered that I had a decent borescope in my store at work so stuck it down the cylinders.

Looks to be scoring on all four cylinders which would confirm the even, but lower than expected compression readings from yesterday. I'll find some pictures shortly.

Not ideal.

Apologies for the poor quality picture of a screen...

I've no experience of engine internals, but from my googling, that appears to be less than ideal. Can someone confirm that, and as best as can be told from the dubious pictures is that likely to need sleeving or would honing possibly be enough?
