Type 9 gearlever extension.

I must be getting old! I have one of the std gearlever position extensions fitted to my car..... I can't remember if you need to fit a plastic saddle to both the gearbox and the extension or if the saddle gets moved from the gearbox to the extender? I get a rattle from this area on height revs and just trying to work out why....

Thanks
Dave B

If yours is the same as mine it only has the saddle directly under the gear lever but there is a correct way of fitting it IIRC? If the saddle is worn it may cause your rattle, if the rattle disappears when you place you hand on the gear lever then it's probably worth fitting a new one and also cleaning and greasing the pivot point on the gear lever. If not already done its easy to convert the standard lever to a quick shift at no cost
